How to Get through the Day

I've had several jobs throughout my career that at times were very stressful.  Sometimes, in fact, I would feel so much stress that I would almost become unable to focus on what to do next.  Over the course of time, I've developed a few short guidelines on How to Get through the Day.  When things get stressful and I can't seem to get a handle on sorting out conflicting priorities, I refer to this list.  It works for me.

  1.  Begin with prayer

  2.  Spend time in the Word

  3.  Organize

  4.  Prioritize

  5.  Do difficult things first

  6.  Do one thing at a time and finish it

  7.  Pray, pray, pray

  8.  Treat others the way you want to be treated

  9.  Think about good things

  10.  Relax
